Asset manager WisdomTree said crypto assets managed surged fivefold to an average of $406 million in the fourth quarter compared with the year-earlier period.
- It had $357 million in crypto assets as of year-end, 21% more than at the start of the quarter, the New York-based asset manager reported Friday. Net inflows for the period totaled $28 million.
- In November, WisdomTree listed a trio of crypto basket exchange-traded products (ETPs) in Switzerland and Germany. The products are for sale across 12 European Union countries as well as Norway and Switzerland.
- In December, WisdomTree’s application to list a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) was rejected by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. It has subsequently refiled.
- Across all aspects of its business, the Nasdaq-listed firm (WETF) managed a total of $77.5 billion at the end of the quarter, with net income of $11.2 million for the period.
